landscapes
If I could choose one landscape theme to photograph for the rest of my life, that would be the sea. That blue serenity of the lagoon that shaped my perspective growing up has never bored me. Every single day its colors and shapes are different, even if I stand on the same exact spot as the day before. Never have I found an element so familiar to me as the simplicity, serenity and minimalism as the clear horizon of my hometown’s waters.
HUMAN NATURE
I suppose there is no better way to photograph people than in conjunction and within natural elements. The most perfect light is no other than the natural light of the sun diffused by the clouds, the moment that the shutter is pressed. That exact light brings forward a human’s most beautiful and unique characteristics.
black and white
I like to think black and white as light and dark tones of gray. Gray used to be my least favorite color and that came from my despise for anything that sat in the middle. Little did I know that the balance in life comes exactly from that gray middle spot. Now, I seek gray tones through black and white photography to pay my respects to the beginnings of the medium, as well as to find my inner balance and peace.
